Wildlife experts in Costa Rica have blasted a mob of selfie-crazed tourists who scared endangered sea turtles away from their nesting spots.
Carlos Hernandez, one of the administrators at Ostional Wildlife Refuge – which was established in 1984 to protect one of the world’s most important nesting sites of the olive ridley sea turtle – reported that the eco-tourists disturbed the very turtles they were there to admire.
